I think I know Johannes Walenkamp (also called Hans).
His father was the village of Warmond (Netherlands) doctor, my birth place.
Impressive list.
This rally has been published in one the country-wide spread newspapers.
The BG-NL team with the AM DB2 was the topic then.

Just heard on NPR today about the "Around the world in 80 days motor
challenge" - apparently london-london round trip, including airlifts (on
former soviet air force equipment - good luck...) etc. Rather
impressive. Includes at least a couple of MGs (TD, BGT) as well as a
number of other interesting vehicles.
