I have been adding these responses and references to my web page as we go.
I find this one particularly interresting, and very close to home, but with
a few exceptions. For instance, on close inspection of the pictures I find
the following:
a.) Wipers park in the opposite direction.
b.) Shark vents do not match style of side vents.
c.) missing styling lines on side of car behind side vents.
d.) Headlamps may be orange vs white.
e.) Full chrome grill (but this could have been removed more recently).
On the positive side, the text description is absolutely canny, including
the riveted over bumper mount locations, the separate piece wheel arch
lips, and the location of the side outlet exhaust pipes. Considering how
rare this particular model of car would be (one surviving out of three
built), I'm inclined to believe this is the real McCoy. I can't imagine
anyone building a kit car and going to the detail of riveted plates to
cover the front bumper mounts. Having the chrome parts removed from the
real car would be understandable, but I'm still trying to figure out where
the styling lines on the sides came from.
