My car is back together again and fully usable! About 7 /12 months
after the accident. I ended up taking my car in to have the windshield
installed. I was going to do it myself, but I just never seemed to get
it done, and after hearing how easy it is to break them I thought
against it. Turns out it was a good idea. It took the local MG shop 8
hours to do it. They said it was one of the worst they have ever done.
The car is just too wide for the frame. They got it in with the two
bottom bolts but said that they were afraid that if they put any more
pressure on it to install the top two the shield might break. After
the rubber settles in and gets mashed, then it might be possible to get
the top two bolts in.

Still it is better than it was before. When I pulled the shield off, I
discovered that one of the dog legs was broken off.
Probably because of the same problems that they ran into trying to
install it today. So I figure that a bolt on each side at the bottom
of the legs, is better than two bolts on one side only.

So it cost me a lot more than I hoped to have it done, but it is done
and they did a really nice job.
(Paul Dierschow's shop did it for those of you in Denver.)
