I use my MGA as a daily driver when it is not wet -- which is most of the
year here in the SF Bay area. Only once has it let me down and then it was a
relatively new part. I had fitted a heater control valve and plumbed in the
heater only to have the valve fail 12 months later.
I think that daily drivers become more reliable over time as all the
problems either cause failures or get worked out.
OK, so my commute is only 7 miles and I average around 5000 miles per year.
Not much, but I don't really worry about the car stranding me.
