Bill Spohn is right!
I just finished reading the earlier Digest & winced at what I know would
happen to various parts. While replacing tie-rod ends IS easy, why do it if
you don't have to.
While Bill suggests beating both sides of the steering arm knuckle at the
same time, you can do it with one VERY HEAVY hammer or weight just held in
place against the arm. Then whack it with the other hammer. I've done it
that way a number of times.
