Yup, I said 1956 MGB Coupe. Not quite possible, it should have been 1956
MGA Coupe, sorry. A local guy inherited it from his Father-in-Law with the
intent of restoring it. He now realizes he has neither the time or ambition
to do the restoration so he donated it to the club for the amount it cost
him to move it from south Florida. I haven't seen the car yet, we're going
to pick it up this weekend. He says the car is complete except for the
front and rear windows and the floors. It has an MGB engine and
transmission in it. He said it also has 3 fiberglass fenders on it.
Supposedly it's in pretty good condition otherwise, but needs total
restoration. We discussed options for the car last night at our meeting and
I'm pretty sure we're going to sell it, probably on ebay. We talked about a
club project, but that takes time, money and a place to do it. I already am
in the middle of restoring a 74 MGB, so I don't have time to devote to a
club project of that size. Once I look at the car I'll let you know
condition, etc if anyone's interested.
