M types into C types or Montlery midgets, J2s into J4s, any K type into
K3, standard or Deluxe MGAs into twin cams. The Deluxe is easy to do as
it's mostly an engine change and a heater swap if it has one. Deluxes
do command a higher price in their own right over standard MGAs.
There have been a few completely made up K3's using a few discarded K3
parts. There's one K3 which which was made up from a discarded and
damaged frame of a still running K3. Everything else of this fake is of
new manufacture.
After these cars pass through a few owners, the fakes now become "real."
