"The "What is an American?" article quoted [below] was not penned by an
Australian (or a dentist), but by Peter Ferrara, an associate professor of
law at the George Mason University School of Law in Northern Virginia. Mr.
Ferrara's commentary was originally published in the National Review on 25
September 2001. "

This paragraph about the two towers was inserted, and is not in the
original: [I've been told that the people in the Towers were from at least
30, and maybe many more, other countries, cultures, and first languages,
including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.]

In future, please reference reliable sources before passing along these mass
emails. As a hint, almost any email you might receive, that has been
forwarded multiple times, and is attributed to a famous person or an
anonymous one, is either falsely attributed (the infamous "George Carlin"
speech) or contains multiple errors of fact (almost anything that mentions
Hillary Clinton). You might also consider whether the subject is relevant to
the mailing list to which you are forwarding it.

Note that I am not particularly objecting to the content of this message,
except in its being off-topic for the MG list. But, my point is, let's try
to keep the Internet a useful source of information, and not of
misinformation.
