1) Reduce the antifreeze level to 30% or better yet use water with an
anti-rust & water pump lube. Unless you drive in the winter, 30% is
sufficient for 90% of USA MGs
2) Make sure the grill slats aren't bent to flat.
3) Make sure the guage is accurate by checking it against an accurate
thermometer. Before driving loosen the radiator cap to the first notch
to keep it from developing pressure. Drive until the guage reads 180.
Check the temp with the thermometer.
