Just checked Clausager and he says the drain plug remained longer than I 
first thought - until January 74.  However the Parts Catalogue indicates it 
continued until chassis 386601, which was between August and December 75. 
The tank changed from NRP2 to NRP1132 at this time, and whilst Heritage 
don't list the latter item for some reason they do list the earlier one, 
plus three others, so maybe you got the wrong one.

If there is rust *only* on the baffle then it shouldn't really matter 
anyway.
