Don't know if any of you have had a pilot bearing issue, but I just
installed a replacement 3 main B motor in my MGA, and at idle, in
neutral with the clutch engaged it groaned. I had a lot of friends say
it was the throw out bearing - but it didn't make noise shifting gears -
so that didn't make sense. I decided to re- remove the engine, check
the pilot bushing, and found a lot of dirt in there. Cleaned it out,
and it's all better now.
