Fellow Morganeers:
I'd like to get your thoughts on something I was reading the other day.
It is Morgan specific, and deals with sopport of the front wings. I was
reading Colin Musgrove's "Moggie". He suggests for better support of the
front of the front wing that during a rebuild that a plate be welded to
the underside of the wing with a couple of short studs welded to the
plate. The idea is to remove the stress from the parking (side) light on
the top of the wing. He further mentions that the flat rad cars were
better supported there. In fact my '51 +4 has 2 bolts going through the
wing. In the US we would call them carriage bolts-(rounded with no
slot).

My questions are: Has anyone made modifications to their front wings
similar to what Mr Musgrove suggests? Further, is the support for the
wing for the flat rad cars adequate or should something similar to what
has been suggested for the cowled-rad cars be undertaken?

Thanks
Bob Tescione
