Morgan Club for many years. Dick also had a 1938 4-4 and a 1970? Plus
8.If this is the same car-and I think it is, as Dick also sold off the
4-4 within the last year or two-it's a good, honest car that's been owned
and loved by a long time Morgan aficianado.(Example-He displayed his 4-4
at the Henry Ford Museum "Sports Cars in Review" in 1964!) All of the
usual caveats apply, of course, as this is a 40 year old used car. Not a
concours trailer queen, but a good, strong driver that got driven a
lot.If this is your first Morgan, 1) Befriend a British Car Mechanic.
While Morgans have their own peculiarities, the engine and electrical
will be familiar to anyone used to working on Triumphs 2) Read up! Ken
Hill's books are probably as good as any , unless you can find Colin
Musgrove's "Moggie" which is out of print. When you buy the car, order
Fred Sissons's "Morgan Drivers Bedside Reader" for hours of amusement and
good advice.
Good Luck! I drove many Morgan Club events where that car was in
attendance, and remember it- and it's owner, a true gentleman- fondly.
