In all my travels and searches, I have not found a supplier (other than the
large bed bolts and the smaller ones in the grill rebuild kit from vendors).
To that end, every time I'm at a salvage yard, I pick off the cleanest clutch
head fasteners I can find on trucks/cars/etc (I keep a set of clutch head
drivers handy). Yes, sand blasting and painting is an option and so is
replating, but only for the hard-core at heart. A bonus is when you can find
original fasteners with the cad plating intact and looking good. The same
problem exists for door hinge bolts with the "R" embossment, etc. Is this
going over board, or what? (And I'm guilty of it....)

Does anyone out there know of a source for the clutch head sheet metal
screws that are used extensively in the Task Force trucks? I've talked to
Chevy Duty who sells lots of clutch head stuff but just about all of them
are machine screws. Most of what I'm after tend to be #10 or #12 pan head
types about 1" or less long. Most of what I have are pretty rusted. I've
blasted some and used POR15 to paint the heads, but it's a pain because you
have to go in and touch up the clutch head recess after installation
because you invariably break/chip the paint putting them in.
