Hello List,
I'm looking for a shroud that covers the ring gear on a 283 V8 and attaches
to the Chevy 4 speed manual transmission for a 59 Chevy Truck. I have a 1
ton Chevy that was originally a 6 Cyl and converted to the 283 V8 by the PO.
There is currently no shroud covering the ring gear. I saw shrouds in JC
Whitney to mate small block V8's to every type of Automatic, but none for
the manual transmission (4 speed). Anybody got such an item? I'm heading
to the Fall Carlisle this weekend and could exchange $ for part there if
you're going. Ping me off list if you can help.
