I used to tow with "Junior" my first AD truck, a 1950 half ton. I just put a
stout piece of angle iron between the two inner bumper brackets right behind
the bumper. I bolted another angle iron to that to hold the ball. The
heaviest thing I towed with that was"Senior", a 1950 one ton which was a very
slow, dangerous trip. When senior was together, I towed with that for years
until I put together my 54 one ton wrecker which I currently use for towing.
