Good point, although the pickup tube is centered squarely on the tank - but
I can still get the sending unit (rather the float itself) closer to the
center than the sides.

Yes, I have a new gauge also, however, the sending unit was made to fit the
stock tank so I'm having to mod it a little to fit the dimensions of the new
tank (not as tall).
