Most common problem with drag link and tie rod ends is broken spring inside.  
Unscrew end plug and check.  You can adjust out most play with the plug, 
unless ball stud is worn egg shape.  Keep track of the order you take out 
parts.  There were some repair kits out with substandard springs.  they were 
much thinner wire than stock.  Hopefully they are out of the pipeline now.  
Also some of the repros don't have oil grooves in the hemispheres.  I use 
those grooves to gauge wear.
