  I've put 10K or 12K miles on this beast and it uses absolutely no oil, I 
have the valve covers off every 1500 miles or so to readjust the valves, and 
had the pan off 3K or 4K miles ago to replace the gasket.

  No sludge, no condensation.  I'm sticking with the pipe for the crankcase 
vent. 

  Besides, don't you need a carb that has the PCV valve port in it?
