We used to have a race car with leaf springs in the rear. Instead of
removing complete leaves,
we would cut 3 or 4 inches off the back of each leaf. This would soften the
springs up and
still keep them from wrapping up under throttle.

>To lower the back I first removed 3 leaf springs from each side, number
>4, 6 and 7 (1 being the top spring). The problem with this is the leaf
>assembly becomes less stiff and since they are so long that they might
