speaking of Chevron, i few weeks ago, i put high grade chevron gas in my 
'57, with a mildly built 302 chevy V-8. it knocked. no other gas will do 
this to me. texaco lacks power, and chevron knocks. i just run  mid-grade 
beacon gas and its fine, power, no knocking, and 18 mpg. im thinking maybe 
its that fancy techron, and my motor just doesnt like it.
