OK, I'm really sorry, this is pretty far from old truck stuff, but any help
you can give me might just help somebody else having problems with a
fiberglass part for their old truck.

I've never worked with fiberglass or fiberglass parts before and I've run
into some problems fitting a supposedly NOS '65 Shelby GT-350 fiberglass hood
onto my '65 mustang GT-350 clone. I picked the hood up for $250 which seemed
incredible at the time because I considered that a friend with a real '65
GT-350 had his hood fly open on the freeway and destroyed and had to have a
new one made by a shop in SoCal- Costing him around $600. The hood I just
bought seemed awfully wavy, but I've always been good at bodywork on metal,
so I wasn't too concerned with that aspect. The problem is that the hood
appears to be stressed. It wants the front drivers side and the rear
passenger side in the air when the hood's closed. If I push the front corner
down, the back will force it's way up about an inch and vice versa (with the
hinges on).

What I want to know is- Can this be fixed? If so, how? Would it maybe respond
to stressing it in the opposite direction for a period of time? PLEASE
HELP!!!!!!

This mustang needs to be finished! I need that Shelby horsepower to get me to
the parts store faster to pick up parts for my trucks! Thanks.
