Miq--

The lip on the back of the cluster can stick in the dash opening...I
usually have to pry the top loose with a screwdriver (carefully if the
dash is painted).  The, there's the oil line that you have to unscrew. 
And, the speedo cable.  If you're lucky, you can get the speedo off
first, then pop the cluster out so you can get a wrench on the oil line,
and see what you're doing to pop all the bulbs and wires loose (remember
where they go!).

Also, make sure you don't knock the "nuts" loose from the opening, or
you'll never get the screws tight again....and you'll have to pull it
out to put them back where they belong.
