[oletrucks] Dana 60 rear end swap

The 4:57 gears in my 1949 GMC 3/4 ton have got to go..So far the best
option I have found is
a Dana 60 from a 68 Chev P/U with 3:54 gears. I would weld on the spring
hangers to make it fit.
It appears this will increase the width of the rear end about three
inches. It appears that this will fit.
Before I leap , I am asking for any pros or cons or random thoughts on
this. I can make enough
mistakes on my own so if some one has made one here before please
share...
