Took the truck out for the first drive today. Drives great!
Just starting the rebuild, but being on the road is a VERY good feeling.
Put the new kingpins in today and reassembled the front end.
Took advice from this list to use oven cleaner to clean 45 years of gunk
from the engine. Great idea! Thanks to whoever posted that.
Next step is to replace the muffler and tail pipe, rebuild the carb, put
in the new points. roter and condensor set. Then, hope it passes
emissions so I can drive it legally.
