Since I had the day off of work, I decided to take the
day before the Fourth as a day of parts chasing.
In a local junkyard in San Francisco, I came across a
primer covered '58 or '59 Chevy Pickup.
Lots of good parts here for someone....the entire bed,
complete with nice tailgate, 2 hoods, cab, front
fenders, brakes, suspension, windshield & rear window,
grille, gas tank, and a bunch of little stuff. The
interior isn't too good, and the engine is just a
short block of a 350?
The junkyard is All Auto Truck Yard, on 398 Quint in
San Francisco. Number is 415-826-0912.
If you're going after a bunch of parts, let me know,
as I might be able to come over and help you pull them
depending on when you're there. There's a rear bumper
on a utility truck there that I want, but we might be
able to get a good package deal if we buy a bunch of
stuff.
I'd buy the truck, or just take some parts off it, but
I'm short on cash and space.
Let me know, hate to see this one get crushed....
