[oletrucks] Alternator conversion

I am converting my truck to an alternator, I picked up a chrome alternator
at the swap meet this weekend and when trying to install, if using the
original generator bracket and tensioner the alternator is off by 1 inch.
Has anyone done this conversion? What has worked as far as bracket?
