Deve,

When I did the glass on my '54 5 window, I used the same process described in
my old Volkswagon book. Rub a little vaseline on the inside of the rubber that
mounts over the cab metal. Then, take a 1/8" or 1/4" nylon rope and wrap it
completely around the entire perimiter of the rubber outside groove that will
go into the cab metal. Be sure to overlap the rubber at the end with a foot or
so hanging out from each end. Then, with one or two people on the outside
applying light but firm pressure, gradually pull the cord out of the rubber.
At first, you can pull both ends at once and then, you can pull one at a time a
few inches and then the other. It needs to stay relatively synchronized as you
are doing this.

I would also encourage you to see how others respond.
