If I remember right, the 54 235s were solid lifter if manual
transmission and hydraulic lifter if PowerGlide.

I just bought a '54 Bel-Air, and it has a 235. The only problem I
see is that it sounds like I need to adjust the valves a little. But
before I get started I was wondering would the lifters be hydraulic or
mechanical?
This is the same engine thats in the trucks wouldn't it?
