While I can't say with absolute certainty I'm pretty sure that the TF
steering wheels and columns were black.  I have a few original TF sales
brochures and the 1957 Salesman's Handbook.  Every picture of the wheel and
column shows them as black.  Of course, this does not account for production
line changes, etc as we've discussed about many other features of the old
trucks. Hope this helps.
