I don't remember what year your truck is, but brake
parts for 55-59 Chevy/GMC trucks are available at
most FLAPS. It may take them a day (in a large city)
or more to actually get them, but I would be willing
to bet that the price would be lower. The down side
is trying to find a counter (wo)man who knows that the
store has books (you know, those things with writing
and pictures on paper) to look up the part numbers
in when they are not listed in their computers.
The good thing about Kanter's is that they have
brake (and engine overhaul) "kits" which typically
have all the pieces necessary to do the job. I
helped a friend do a complete brake system overhaul
on his '56 Pontiac with a Kanter's kit and all the
necessary parts were in the kit.

I am looking at purchasing a brake rebuild kit from Kanter. It appears to
have everything I need for my truck. Has anyone had any experience with
Kanter? Good or bad? Brakes are kinda important and I'd prefer to not
purchase something inferior here if that's the case.
