No need to.  Get a GMC gauge, as they all go to 60 psi.  I think I pulled
mine from a '52 big truck to poke in my '50 Chev.  Now I really know what my
oil pressure is.  I even believe that the vendors make a 0-60 face decal in
the proper color for Chev.
