Mike,

To my knowledgs, if the emblems on the sides were "just" Chevrolet, you have got
yourself a 49-52 hood.  47-48 hoods had Chevrolet-Thriftmaster, 49-52 hoods has
just Chevrolet, some 49-51 had a bold 3100, 53-54 had a wider 3100 with
undertrim, and the 55-1st had a 3100 above Chevrolet.  Hope this helps.  If you

bought a hood from a guy last week real cheap   originally had just chevrolet
on the sides and has the larger enblem on the front   how can i tell if it is
53,54 or 55?    what is the interchangability of the ad half ton hoods?
