Hello all -

I was subscribed to this list about a year ago when I got my first truck, a
58 shortbed stepside. It was a little too technical for a beginner like me,
but I enjoy your threads ("running engine!") and now the messages are
extremely helpful.

I am moving to a dual exhaust on my inline and would really like to have the
exhuast coming out just before the rear wheels on the passenger side, at an
angle like 45 degrees or something. I am also planning to later relocate
the gas tank to between the rails and under the bed (no, this isn't another
"where should I put my exhaust?" thread.) Is there any safety issue to this
configuration (exhaust/glass packs too close to gas tank) or am I revealing
just how green I am at this?

Thanks in advance.

Mike A
