Jeff,

I have a 59 GMC with a three speed floor shift. It's original as far as I
can tell. The truck was a farm truck from Alberta, Canada and has no
modifications of any kind (at least none that I've found yet).

Hello everyone again,

I hope someone can help with me with
this, I am considering
buying a 58 GMC 100 stepside and it has a stock looking floor shift. Were 58
GMC's
produced with a floor shift?? Almost all 55-59 Chevy or GMC stock trucks I
have ever seen either have the Hydromatic or column shift. The truck is all
there and looks like an ex farm truck
and shows no signs of being modified in any way. The reason I am asking is
that I am one of those
purists who cares what color bolts are painted and loves stock trucks.
