With a closed list, it is not the reply to address which is checked, it is
the sent from address. When SMTP connects to a remote mail server it sends
the "sent from" address in the form of MAIL FROM user@domain. Your sent from
address at the office will be different from your address with which you
signed up for the list with.
The only way to send from the office is to either additionally register with
this username@domain emial address -or- create an additional mail profile
which only uses POP3 from the server you use at the house.
