I need to get a shifter for a Saginaw 4 speed that I just got for my '53
Chevy truck with a 6 cylinder 235 engine. The problem is that the original
shifter is too short and will sit just below the edge of the bench seat.
Patrick's has a nice shifter for this application, but I feel it is a bit
pricey; $259.95.
Does anybody on this list has a used one at a decent price?, or knows of a
way to use the original shifter and modify it to sit on the right place? or
maybe knows of more cheaper alternative?
