  Deacon,

If your alternator you're using has an internal regulator, you don't
need the original one.

I changed engines in my 55tf to a 79 305 with hei and
alternator. I am

using a volt meter and it shows all working ok. My question
concerns

the original voltage regulator. What is its function now and is it
even

needed? Its not hurting anything but its just something else to
clutter

up the firewall. My apoligies to the purists out there on hacking up
the

truck. Deacon
