I am in the process of rebuilding my door hardware and was woundering if
anyone would care to share thoughts and experience on replacing door
latches. It has been 2 1/2 years since my truck had doors on it so I forget
how well they latched. I plan on cleaning them up but is there a rebuild
kit available. I see that you can buy new ones but how good are the new
production items? Since they are a real pain to get out, I thought I would
do whatever is necessary to make them right before putting them back in the
door.
I also need a chrome or SS center strip for my hood ('49 panel). Anyone
have one they want to sell.
