In the shop manual for a 57 Chevy truck, the points gap at .019 new and .016 used. (honest it says that) 6 cyl times at TDC and the V-8 at 4 BTDC. The book says .006 hot on the Intake valves and .018 hot on the exhaust valves. I could not find a dwell setting for the 6-cyl. Good luck Jim H 57-3100-SB Work in progress oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
