[oletrucks] Intake manifold leak

My 228 was running poorly. The vacum was about 10 inches and I traced
the
problem to a leaky intake manifold gasket. I just put these on when the
rest of the motor got fresh gaskets even though they were not leaking.
Is there a trick I missed putting these on, mystery potion, whatever ?
