Have you considered getting your stock cover chromed? It would have the script
and assuming it doesn't leak now chroming it shouldn't make it leak.

         Hello Members Of The List,
Although this is my first posting to the List, I've been lurking about for
some time now. I would like to compliment all of you for the vast experience
and knowledge continually posted to this List.
I am looking for a chrome valve cover with Chevrolet script or an
aluminum valve cover for a Chevy 250c.i. inline six. The aftermarket covers I
have purchased in the past all have leaked oil, the only leak I have. I
currently have a stock, painted cover on the engine but would like to have a
chrome or aluminum cover to compliment the other chrome goodies on the
engine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm located in West Central
Florida.
