Very heavy weitht oil in the transmission might cause this when cold. It
seems like my truck used to do the same thing. I may have poured some
Marvel Mystery Oil in the shift box... can't really remember, but it won't
hurt anything to try.

> I let my '57 1/2 ton sit for about 3 month's without driving it. Original
with 265 and 3-speed overdive. Drove and shifted beautifully when I last
drove it. Now it feels like I'm pushing the column shift lever through
cement when going from gear to gear. I put some lubricant on the shift
linkage under hood.......no improvement! Any ideas? Thanks. Rick
