I keep learning a lot from this group and would like to continue this trend.
We will be starting the body work soon and have noticed that the cab (54 5
window) is actually in two pieces. The connection is right below the body
contour that goes around the back of the cab below the rear window. How have
you folks cleaned / treated this area? The cab is rusted out in all the
normal places, cab corners and lower cowl area. I don't want to do a frame
up rebuild only to have rust come through the paint in a few years. There is
a local (Allentown, PA) guy that will dip the cab for $530. Sounds expensive
but may be worth it if it prevents rust down the pike.
