hey there a little more about the paint used on the discovery show... first
off, there are different ways to shoot the stuff, it was originaly designed to
be shot until it was a solid, this will acive an extream color shift... or it
can be shot as a pearl, i did this on the top of my imperial 4 years ago and i
still get coments... personaly i think that shooting it on solid looks horrid,
as did H.O.K. cause now they selll it as a peral, though coors are limited,
there are ways... reason it looks better, what you are looking at is esentialy
pearl, ever seen a realy cheep and bad pearl jod, where yeah, it's shiny, but
there is no depth to it, thats how the product looks... now shoot it in a
pearl, and it don't take much (2 fld. oz. was enough for my top) and you get a
real striking efect, mine is over a black base w/ orange micro flake w/ purple
to orng komeleon on top (it changes from a deep back purp to a bright orange
copper)... so not only did i pull off a color changing quasi kandi coat, i also
only added about $50 bucks materials cost to the clear i already had to
shoot... oh to have shot it with pure komeleon would have added about $500 to
$700 in materials, and a paint job right out of a can...
mix it up a little...
