Seems it always somethin--- Noticed the gas gauge wasn't working.
I have an aluminum tank mounted in front of the bed, with a cover over the
bed. All the testing make it look like the actual sender--after pulling I
found that the strip that led to the connector on top to the actual float
mechanism had broken into.. Pulled and used spade connector and soldered
together and now the gauge works.
Another thing---no brake lights. Damn what happens to these things
when they sit up for few months!!! Problem found to the actual brake
switch mounted on the firewall. I was able to remove take it apart and
found that there is small contact that is pressed up again the outside
connector with a spring. It was all gummy-didn't slide well at all.
Cleaned, reassemble and damn---brake lights!!!
Its a beautiful day in Ga today so I'm no off for a little spin around
town and then to work---WORK, had to ruin a good day huh!!!! --wayne
