I've got the original posirear from my '59 1/2 ton for sale, I changed to a
3.54 Dana 44 some time ago, and don't think I'll ever be using this rear
again. It has the backing plates on it, but no brake
hardware/drums...might have'em laying around in the shop somewhere, The
posi tag is still on the cover, not sure if the other one still is though.
Backlash is tight, it made no noise when it was under the truck.
I'm unsure of the condition of the posi, if it were something newer I'd say
the posi needs to be rebuilt, but I was told that these posi's don't work
with clutches like the newer ones...but "throw out" a mechanism to grab? I
dunno, I never hammered on it when it was under the truck to see if both
tires spun.
I'm in Oakdale, Ca...prefer a pick up as opposed to shipping it..but if you
have to have it, I can strap it to a pallet and take it to a shipping
terminal and drop it off.
