The GM HEI is a much high output to the spark plugs the Pertronics is
nothing other than brakerless points you can use an regular coil with it.
The GM HEI uses a coil made for it and it is capable of output voltages
of 80 to 90 KV's where the other is only capable of 30 to 40 KV's a big
difference higher voltage longer plug life better fuel burn better
