 Hm, no.  Var-Sol (as it says on the drum) is a very light green, leaves
a thin film after it dries, and has no noticeable odor.  It has about
the same viscosity as kerosene.

 Mineral spirits is clear, less viscous than water, has a horrible odor,
and dries with no residue.
