According to

You can get roughly 120,000 BTU/hr through 10' of 1/2" pipe with a pressure drop
of 0.5"h2o.  Plus, the range has an additional pressure regulator inside it, so
even 1" drop shouldn't be a problem.

I think that means you should be OK with just a couple of feet & 1/2 that much
flow.
